ALTERNATIVES FOR CHALK
In school chalk is commonly used as a method of communication and presentation. However if the room is not well ventilated or chalk dust is not disposed properly, it may cause irritation to children, especially those with asthma or those with milk allergies. It can cause shortness of breath, wheezing, nasal congestion, sneezing, runny noses and coughing. (Anne Hart, 2013)
An alternative for chalk in this case would be whiteboards and whiteboard markers or just plain markers. Although whiteboard markers will run out and you will have to throw the whole thing out and markers waste a lot of chart paper. |
If you do not like the idea of using chalk to get rid of greasy stains for some reason, that is okay. Besides the obvious like detergent and related products salt is also a viable solution to this problem. Rubbing grease with salt can also remove the annoying greasy stains that bug you all day. (Christine Halovorson, 2014)

Although chalk is another source of calcium and the milk protein casein, it's not recommended. As long as there isn't glue or any preservatives it should be fine. But you don't know if the factory it comes from is clean.
Another way to get calcium in your body without drinking milk or such, assuming you are lactose intolerant, is to eat other foods with calcium. For example, leafy green vegetables, oranges, almonds, soy milk and etc. If you eat these and you still have a deficiency, then you need more sunlight as vitamin D is needed to absorb calcium.
